| Honi Deaton's powerful, soulful voice is punctuated by her passionate original lyrics and upright bass accompaniment. Honi was nominated twice in recent years for female vocalist of the year in Nashville (SPBGMA), as was also a 2007 Dove award nominee. Not content just playing in the background, the guys stand on their own talents as extraordinary musicians and vocalists themselves. Their bluegrass music has Appalachian roots, Americana flavor and Texas hot sauce! |

| Biography: |
.
Honi Deaton and Dream carries on the creative and passionate intensity of the Bluegrass music they grew up with. This group of extraordinary musicians reach deep into the soil of Appalachian and Americana music, layering it with the flavor of a fine Texas hot sauce. There is no posturing here. Honi Deaton is one of the best female vocalists to ever grace a stage and every member of the band contributes to the rich and powerful mix. She and the band deliver an honest and stunning experience to all those that come to witness their performance in action.
Originally from Irving, Texas, Honi travels all of North America and has been twice nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year in Nashville. A prolific songwriter, Honi provides the group with much of its repertoire. Those lyrics, her dynamic voice and accomplished upright bass playing are the beautiful beginning of this band's sound.
Honi is joined by her multi-instrumentalist husband Jeff Deaton on guitar, mandolin and bass.
Also from a musical family, he began playing professionally as a teenager with The Everett Brothers. During this time the band was inducted into the Georgia Country Music Hall of Fame. Jeff has also played with Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice and Lou Reid & Carolina.
Josh Brooks hails from Blueridge, Georgia and is know as "the best kept secret of the mountains". As a solid banjo player, he is compared to Terry Baucom in terms of style and tone. Also from a bluegrass family, Josh began playing at age 4. His years of experience give him the drive and creativity of many veteran players. His soaring tenor vocals, sense of humor and cool confidence on stage add to the entertainment factor that bring back sell-out crowds across the country.
Wayde Powell III grew up in Young Harris, Georgia playing in his family's bluegrass band and developing an appreciation for southern Appallachian folk culture. Over the years, he has bridged the gap between traditional and contemporary music playing in bands, orchestras and studio recordings. He has worked in the orchestra pit for numerous Broadway plays at various venues including the prestigious Fox Theater in Atlanta. He earned his classical guitar degree from North Georgia College and State University where he excelled in the jazz band, symphonic orchestra, and guitar ensemble. In addition, Wayde was an inaugural member of The New Crown Mountain Boys, the school's first bluegrass ensemble. His energy on stage adds futher dimension to this already outstanding band. |
