Wayde Powell
Wayde Powell III grew up in Young Harris, Georgia
playing in his family's bluegrass band. Over the years, he
has bridged the gap between traditional and contemporary music
playing with bands, in plays, orchestras and studio recordings.
He is a classical guitar major from North Georgia College
and State University where he excelled in the jazz band, symphonic
orchestra, and guitar ensemble. In addition, Wayde was an
inaugural member of The New Crown Mountain Boys, the school's
first bluegrass ensemble. His energy on stage adds futher
dimension to this already outstanding band.
